Keyboard not working over my Raspberry

Hello friends,

this is my first raspberry 3 model b. I easily installed ubuntu mate 16.04 lts over micro sd and everything seems ok.

Even if usb mouse is working perfectly, the keyboard is absolutely not recognized. I used it over almost 10 test pc without issue.

The usb port is working as connecting a mobile phone it is powered and phone tells about connection over usb

Thanks for your opinions

Marco

I’ve not experienced any problems with my keyboards.
Are you using a standard model keyboard?
Did you use a keyboard when setting up the installation initially?
Are you unplugging something, and then plugging in the keyboard?
Have you executed an lsusb command with the keyboard plugged (I supose the reply to that is that you have no means of input)?
Derek

Hello Derek,

thanks for your fast reply.

The keyboard is classical usb keyboard used w/o problems on several pc.
I installed ubuntu mate from windows 7 over micro sd card. Mouse is perfectly working
I used just virtual keyboard with mouse to connect to wi-fi
I tried to unplug and re-plug with no-luck the keyboard and also to un-plug the mouse to verify if a conflict could arise
And yes I could not use terminal neither for trying updates of mates
I try right now raspbian, then to computer assistance we arranged to try different keyboards
Never heard in my 30 years of IT and Telco of keyboard support
Thanks
Marco
