Latest edition of Li-f-e: Linux for Education is now available. This version is based on Ubuntu MATE 20.04 LTS. A lot of useful applications are included on top of the already brillant Ubuntu MATE release to make this a complete operating system for education and home use.

Life is now updated to 20.04.1, See Ubuntu 20.04.1 ReleaseNotes for all the changes in the base distribution since last release.
Use this new image if you are doing fresh installation of Life, if you have already installed Life 20.04 then all you need to do to stay up to date is update your system using any of the GUI update tools available such as Software Boutique or run in a terminal:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgradeNew additional changes to this image is Libreoffice 7.0.0 and built-in Appimage integration.

The new ISO image is available for download here. Click (i) icon next to the iso file link on the download page for checksums of the image.
Apart from all the packages updated from their respective repositories, here are the changes from the last release:
- A lot of new packages added, increasing the size a bit, such as python idle, many python modules, and many other applications needed for CBSE, PM Publishers and Maharashtra State Education Board textbooks and IIT’s Spoken Tutorial.
