LibreOffice menu icons missing after latest updates

Hi everyone,

After series of updates that arrived during the past week, I see that menu Icons from all LibreOffice apps got missing (screenshot attached)

Currently I have
Release 16.04.2 LTS (Xenial Xerus) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 4.4.0-62-generic x86_64
MATE 1.12.1

no extra software installed for several month

Did run "Update Installed Packages" and "Resolve Broken Packages" from Welcome app no result

Hi @Diplomat,

have you tried changing your desktop theme to see whether or not they are still gone after a theme change?.

LoL that's embarrassingly simple troubleshooting ... I guess i would have to find new Icons or get used to dark themes

you could try running another full system update again and change the theme again!.

Confusion was caused by new default Breeze Dark Icon Style, there are several other preinstalled that you can choose from:

Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> Icon style

I never touched my theme and it is showing okay here, I haven't touched the settings you mentioned!:
