Dear all,
Having switched over from Unity to MATE recently, I am just wondering whether you have experienced any significant difference with regards to battery time of these two environments.
Any experiences?

Unity was not bad but i have experienced all most one hour/45 mins more of battery time in Ubuntu MATE. (of course in regards of activity=ies, kdenlive and such software will use more battery.)
Think Pad Lenovo E330, using it all days work … since few years now…

That gives me further confidence that I am settling on the right horse here with MATE for my fairly older Thinkpad X230 (although still a great machine).
