Stuck in a nasty way I’m afraid. Multiboot laptop system. At install of U-Mate some years ago, I chose Full Disk Encryption. Grub was updated that time and things worked. A while ago, grub was having issues, I tried to remedy them, with my basic grub experience, and then things went haywire. The FDE install is not to be found by grub anymore. I suppose it has also to do that grub doensn’t have the encryption security code anymore. I searched for info on a rescue method in this situation, tried the IRC channel. No luck yet. I really need some sound advice on how to proceed. Yep, the main thing is the data in the separate /home partition, which is not back upped… The system itself is of no value to me.
