LibreOffice Base 5.4 abends within MATE after clicking Tables.
The same error was in Ubuntu 16.04 corrected in GRUB with
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=“quiet splash stack_guard_gap=1”
Inserted in MATE /etc/default/grub has no effect
Hardware Lenovo T410 32bits!!
I don’t know about the specific problem your having, but after changing something in /etc/default/grub you need to run sudo update-grub to regenerate the grub config to include your edits.
