Hi, I have a Dell Poweredge T30, with a Mate installed on it.
After an experimental installation of WIN 10 for workstation on another HDD (the linux disks were disconnected) the system does not boot... Why? I can't understand why... (the bios is set in AHCI configuration and the secure boot disabled).
I'm trying with a boot repair now...
It’s possible that it has something to do with the UEFI in the BIOS settings. When I install many Linux distributions including Ubuntu Mate, I have to have the UEFI off and set to Legacy. On the other hand, when booting Fedora, it has to be in UEFI or it will not boot (in Legacy mode). Conversely, if I boot say Manjaro’s Mate or Ubuntu Mate with UEFI on, it will not boot. Not sure this is your issue, but sounds similar to what I have had in the past related to the BIOS. Good luck…
Hi, solved, the UEFI settings was misconfigurated by win 10. I've just rebuild the GRUB with Boot-repair and configure the right UEFI boot file... Thank you..
