The last couple of evenings I've been mostly fixing things discovered since 17.10 Alpha 2 was released.

Annoyingly saving custom panel layouts simply didn't function, but the fix for that landed yesterday.

Now that saving custom layouts works, this is needed:

Other fixes prevent two volume applets from appearing in the panel, migrate workspace configuration/orientation between window managers and layouts and prevent two low battery capacity warnings when using indicators.

A new version including all the fixes and custom panel deletion should land in the 17.10 archive tomorrow.

Really nice to see these improvements going in! Looking forward to 17.10. It’s a testament to the stability and resilience of UM that I barely need to check on my parents laptop more than twice a year.

(Re the pic posted, I’m assuming it’s concept art and that “permenately” = “permanently” :wink: Sorry, proof-readers never let these things go… :stuck_out_tongue: )
