Missing printer drivers

Being a newbie to Linux I run into different problems. This time I discovered that there are no drivers in the repositories for my printer (Epson ET-2600). Neither has Epson any drivers for Linux (except for the scanner). Is this the end of my Linux experiment or is there a way to work around this problem?

if you click on the Download button it will take you to another page where you can d/l a .deb file which can be installed graphically with gebi.

Thanks for the help. I found a few diferent files att the epson site and I downloaded the one I believed most appropriate. I still had difficulties but then I discovered a Firmware Package I hadn't downloaded. After downloading that things started to work and now I have an excellent printer driver with more adjustments than I ever had in Windows. I still dont know if it was the fimware package or the file from the Epson site that helped me (or both). Anywy it is working and I'm very grateful.
