Moving on to 16.10

Testing of 16.04 is coming to an end. Normally this would end my testing until the next LTS, but with Mate…

Got to see what team wimpy is going to do next :smiley:

So its on to 16.10 in a few weeks.

Looks like MATE 1.14 is getting finished up, so maybe that will be included.

They are probably not coming in 16.10, but I personally am looking forward to a Gtk3 panel so we can use Gtk3 indicators, like the messaging menu (for mailnag!), and support for libinput (xorg-libinput), which offers much better trackpad scrolling with Gtk3.

I plan on installing UM 16.04 LTS as my primary OS - but I’ll be keeping a test partition for testing!

I’m running 16.04 and for the most part it’s running like a champ no problems as of yet

I suspect a lot of gtk3 in 16.10.

The first time using Ubuntu-Mate. I really like it, and have been using 16.04 as my main OS.

I will give it a bash as I like playing around with a new system although I do think that Ubuntu should stick to one release a year!. :smiley:
