Multiple tilda, how to end up with one

I have multiple tilda as the picture shows. I have reinstalled and rebooted to no avail. I have created keyboard shortcut of F12 in control center-keyboard, how can I end up with one? I realize I can remove tilda altogether and use mate terminal but I find tilda helpful.

Hi,

right click one (or more) of the Tilda icons showing in the panel and then on remove, remove all except one of them!. :smiley:
