Mutiny doesn't show as an option in Mate Tweak

Hello. I have Ubuntu 17.04. My primary DE is Unity. I installed Mate Desktop, too, because I really like the “Unity look” on the Ubuntu 17.10 Alpha version and I wanted something similar on a stable system. The problem is that I don’t have the Mutiny panel layout in the Mate Tweak options.
I had the same problem in Ubuntu 16.04; I updated it to 17.04 hoping that it will resolve itself.
Is there anything I can do? Or Mutiny is available only when installing Ubuntu Mate?

MATE Tweak will only display the layouts that have all the required software installed. Simply installing MATE on top of stock Ubuntu will not install everything required.

Great, then it’s possible. And what command will install the required packages? Thanks.

Well, you’re going to tread all over stock Ubuntu but:

sudo apt install ubuntu-mate-desktop

This is the command I used în Ubuntu 17.04. Previously I made a minimal install of Mate DE with sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends ubuntu-mate-core, and then I uninstalled Mate. The previous minimal install could interfere with the actual installation?

You don’t need the --no-install-recommends anymore. That is only required for 16.04.

So, that’s it? My problem is unsolvable?

This is how I installed Mate in Ubuntu 17.04. Is there any secondary solution for my problem?

Ok, cased closed. I had enough of this pseudo- interest in helping new users.
