by default UM comes with Ubuntu Software Center installed, the software center is extremely slow and cumbersome I always install Gdebi for all my software installations, wouldn’t it be practical to have Gdebi installed by default and add a shortcut to Ubuntu Apps (apps.ubuntu.com) after all Ubuntu themselves add short cuts to Amazon, etc, etc
that saves space on the distro iso and adds simplicity to a process that is tedious at times
also in today’s days screens are becoming much smaller as manufactures try to produce smaller devices for mobility purposes and competition as well the two panels desktop robs quite a chunk of desktop space, I know it is easy to right click and delete this panel but new comers will find it a bit difficult to add windows list and other applets to the remaining panel,so one panel should be good I think
