Hi @Wimpy, just updated my 14.10 install and noticed the new mate-tweak. It works great!
I have a suggestion to add a 3rd option like “Compiz only for this session” or any better name…
This way, the system would default to Marco on next reboot.
edit: How about a panel application, so it could be accessed with just a click? Don’t know if this is possible…
TIA

You could just add a launcher to the panel that runs compiz --replace. That would limit it to the current session and revert to marco on your next boot.

That’s exactly my solution. Works a treat.
Thanks. This is the way I have it set up for now, I was suggesting a “more polished” solution
I should also say, you can revert back to marco in the same session by having another taskbar launcher with marco --replace.
You could even add these as addittional menu items and have them placed just next to the mate tweak menu item. This would actually be faster than having to locate them as options inside mate tweak itself.

Yeah, if anything I’d suggest what @stevecook172001 said, add the launcher to the menu instead of having it on the panel, that way it isn’t sitting out in view, only serving that small purpose.
