No Java on new 18.04 instalation Solved

I’ve just installed 18.04.1. but java programs won’t run.
So I tried to install java, apt-get can’t find java.
Synaptic seems to install java-common ok, but program still won’t run, I get a “can’t find java” message when I try.
Any clues?

maybe you are loking for openjdk-11-jre package ? But it is installed by default as i know.

I thought java should be installed by default, but it wasn’t there. I’ve just installed it with aptitude, this was part of the readout.

Selecting previously unselected package openjdk-11-jre-headless:amd64.

I’m about to test it out.

Yep, that’s fixed it, just have to hope nothing else was left out during the instalation.
