NVidia Pascal GPU drivers for 16.04.x from Ubuntu repo?

Hi Maximuscore, this does not work.
I do what you put and nothing, I leave the installation, I will change the graphic card,

After installing, this is the last thing the console puts …/usr/lib/nvidia-375/libEGL.so.1
I put that in the terminal and it puts me … permission denied.

I’m afraid I can’t really help you much more … the only other idea I can think of is this (but you’d need another, older NVidia card for this):

  • install older (pre-Pascal) NVidia card
  • reinstall Ubuntu MATE 16.04.2
  • install the latest available proprietary driver from the Welcome app
  • install all updates
  • reboot and check if everything works
  • shut down PC
  • swap graphics card
