What do you use for creation of 3D projects using photogrammetry techniques? I used an online version of Autodesk until it was discontinued. I am hoping to create some 3D representations of archaeological objects from basic DSLR images for SketchFab and the like. Are there good online tools or better ones available to download for Ubuntu Mate? A bit general I know but everyone seems very knowledgeable here (and helpful!). Basic installation and use would be a bonus. Have perused the web but its always better straight from the horse’s mouth.
I use a version of Agisoft Photoscan for Linux. The current state of play, unfortunately, with the open source stuff is not good enough yet. As soon as it is, I will be using open source.
Until then, Agisoft is the best option, in my opinion.
