Plank as panel is covering top panel

I use one of the layouts, which take use of plank as a dock.

I positioned it on the left hand side. If I use the option “fill” the plank covers the top left button.

My question: Is it possible to adjust this behaviour that it does NOT cover the top panel?

I now that I can design a panel on my own (without using Plank) - but that’s not what I want.

Possibly not what you’d like >>> try Alignment = fill, icon alignment = center
