i am using ubuntu mate 14.04.2 , and i was happy because it is fast and smooth.
but now i am facing a problem that runed my whole day.
when i refresh on my desktop 2 times it freez and after that noting is working…
i dont know what to do…
if there is any solution please let me know…

Please explain what you mean by “refresh your desktop”.
in window we normal right click mouse and there is a option refresh…
same in ubuntu me F5 for refresh…
when i press F5 two time everything on desktop disappears…
and mouse pointer start showing loading sign 
do you have compiz enabled? If you do, disable it, re-enable marco and reboot. Then report back and let me know if the problem you report has gone away or is persisting.
compiz is not installed in my system…
one more thing when i tried to reboot it shows caja is not respondig…
is caja creating problem?
is yes then what i need to do…
Ah okay R. I am sorry, I lack the expertise beyond the advice already given. I only gave it because your problem sounded very much like one I had when I used compiz. Disabling it got rid fo the problem for me.

If I ever have a problem that I can’t seem to isolate, I sometimes just run the following commands. Half the time, the problem is fixed by these commands and I don’t know how it did it!
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
You could always try reinstalling caja if you think that is the culprit. Though, I have no idea if it is or not. I should also say, I do not know whether reinstalling it may have other unwanted effects on your system. But, for your information, the command to reinstall a program is:
sudo apt-get --reinstall install
So, in the case of Caja:
sudo apt-get --reinstall install caja
