I have some problems after update (cleaninstall) UbuntuMate 18.04 with copy&paste / clipboard … Often it works but sometimes a paste will not insert the last entry, but the entry before it or nothing.
Has anyone noticed anything similar?
Any chance it could be the keyboard starting to go or needing a cleaning?
I have not seen anything like that, and I run Ubuntu MATE on a wide variety of machines at work, at least briefly.
How are you copy and pasting: menubar, right click menu, keyboard shortcuts or something else?
If your using a laptop, with a highly sensitive touch pad, it can cause copy & paste errors.
For example:
I have mate-terminal set to copy all highlighted text to the clipboard. On one laptop this works great. On another laptop with a highly sensitive touch pad, I will accidentally select a blank section of the terminal, after previously selecting some text to paste to another application. Since the last thing copied was blank, nothing is pasted.

I’m not on a laptop. I always use the keyboard shortcuts 
But the context menu is sometimes a work-a-round.
I don’t think it’s the keyboard. It’s new and I’m deliberately pressing the combination.

I have some troubles with MATE-Terminal and now use LXTerminal. I can’t tell yet if it’s the same.
