PulseAudio Install... Why?

UM 16.04

Went to You Tube tonight and the sound was not working. Message at top of You Tube says:

I went to the Software Center and there are a few PulseAudio choices. Which is the right one to install?

Why did my Pulse Audio disappear? Audio on You Tube worked yesterday.

PulseAudio is preinstalled on Ubuntu (and variants like Ubuntu MATE), it’s pretty weird that it disappeared from your system. Did you install anything related to sound today, that might have been in conflict with PA and removed it?

To begin, we can check what packages are still installed. Give us the output of:

dpkg -l | grep pulse

Started my box this morning and the sound was back on for You Tube…Strange and Weird!

Ok. I assume no packages were removed but for some reason, the PulseAudio daemon had been stopped or crashed.
