Is there any way to install ubuntu mate on raspberry pi 2 without monitor and keyboard? Like is possible with raspbian.

as i know,the serial UART console is not started by default at the first booting time.
i think there is two options:
1.wish new versions of mate@pi2 could started vnc service or serial UART console daemon by default when first booting
2.build a image your self with features you want 
maybe you could just use other guys’ monitor at first time
