Is it possible to include xscreensaver-gl and xscreensaver-gl-extra packages in 18.04?
they do provide a lot of screensavers and work without any mods. Thanks.
@pavlos_kairis - They are already there in the repositories:
sudo apt install xscreensaver-gl xscreensaver-gl-extra
My thought was for those packages to be included in the bionic installation so that when a user clicks on Control Center, Screensaver, s/he can see all screensavers. I installed them on the bionic beta this morning but other users prefer point-n-click. Just a thought.
Well, if you really want to go nuts, don’t forget the xscreensaver-data and xscreensaver-data-extra packages, too. Personally, I like the “Hufo’s Smoke” from the rss-glx set. Had someone think my laptop was frying once while running it.
