[RESOLVED] Ubuntu MATE 15.04 installation failed [UEFI/BIOS]

Hi,
As I’m looking find some way to install ubuntu MATE on an ODROID C1, I get to think that i needed a fresh install of the futur release.
SInce i went quite smoothly on 14.10, I wasn’t worried (can’t be more wrong).

Installation went smoothly until it needs to install the bootloader. Grub can’t be installed on system partition, or in one of the efi partition (i have 2 of them).

Since i had this problems before, i have a safety usbstick with bootrepair on it, and it usually works flawlessly.
I had encounter some errors, but grub get finally installed.

When I rebooted on the new grub with the ubuntu 14.10 entry was gone (WTF os-prober ?) but i could launch 15.10.
It ended on a initramfs prompt because some UUID was wrong. (Crap)

I finally reboot and get access to the 14.10 using ReFind that I had installed before on the Win8 partition…

No I’m here reporting. I don’t know why it went wrong that way (especially since 14.10 didn’t made problems).

Here is the bootrepair report. and bug report on LaunchPad

Some ideas ?

EDIT: had bug report on launchpad

Hello.

I’m back.
Wasn’t easy, and was ugly.
By the way I’m on my laptop, on Ubuntu MATE 14.04 (i wanted an LTS version for production).

Last night after tried to install Vivid, the BIOS/UEFI can’t recognize boot partitions. I was stuck, even boot repair failed to help me. But the data were safe.

So after a good night of sleep, i booted on an trusty usb stick and saved my data.
Then I return in the bios, deactivated the RAID mode, boot on the stick and disbled the RAID activation on the drives.

I managed to install trusty properly on bios mode. But i changed my mind and tried to install with GPT and LVM. It didn’t work.

So i erased all again and put on a nice trusty MATE on a good old MS-DOS table. Since i had the vivid beta 1 img, i give it a try on an other partitons. I had a few errors message while installing (about UEFI) and then the bootloader failed to install.

Since i had a manjaro xfce 0.9 beta iso, i tried to installed too, but it returned an error while copying the data on the drive (maybe a bad copy).

Finally I rebooted on trusty and updated grub. I rebooted on vivid, and it crashed.
Edit: it was because of an UEFI microcode loaded automatically by my computer. I went in the launch options of the usb stick and sw there is a double menu (“try Ubuntu without installing”, “check disk for defects”…), so I tried the second “Try ubuntu without installing” and the installation went smoothly.

And now I’m tired of this, maybe I will install a 14.10 later in the evening, and upgrade from it.

I might have a really fast and robust computer, this son of a b**** always give me troubles…
I knew the LTS version was a good choice ^^

Maybe someone will be interested on vivid installation errors I reported. What kind of information do you want ?

EDIT: Had precisions and post it resolved.
