Router DSL2750U_T1 with Mate

Will the router DSL2750U_T1 work on Ubuntu Mate 16.04 LTS?

Hi
Not sure I understand the question.
You want to install Ubuntu MATE on the router?
Usually those things come with a Linux-based firmware and don’t need to be reinstalled.
If you want to know if it will play nice with your other machines that are running Ubuntu MATE then yes.

I am running Abuntu Mate16.04LTS and need to use a different router.
(changing IP) I already have a D-Link DSL-2750U spare which I can use. On
reading the System Requirements in it’s manual they only] list MS Win
products. (shame!) Will Mate Work on it? Will I require software not
available in Mate?
A VERY HAPPY EX-MS USER.

As far as I can see it is an ADSL modem/router which should work fine with any kind of linux. Usually they also distribute drivers/manual on a cd-rom and that only has the windows drivers on it.

I work for an internet provider and the ADSL modem/routers we ship are compatible with linux and usually you don’t need any drivers. You either connect with wifi or you use a cable. The actual connection is made by the modem/router.

I see that the router is shipped with an easy install programme which runs on windows. But just use the advanced setup which allows you to login with a web-browser and the IP-address 192.168.1.1.

So, it should not be a problem. But the best place to ask is either the reseller or D-Link.
