I’m using a raspberry pi 2 under Ubuntu Mate and it works great smile
Ubuntu Mate comes with gstreamer1.0 stuff (version 1.4.5) in repository but don’t provide “gstreamer1.0-omx” package.
“gstreamer1.0-omx” provides hardware accelerated video encoding (x264) and hardware decoding (x264,vp8, …), I really need it smile
So I try to compile the last sources on git repository (git.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-omx).
I compile succesfully but after doing the make install if I try :
gst-inspect-1.0 |grep omx
It returns nothing
Anybody successfuly install it ? or have some ideas for doing it ?
Do you plan to add it to the ubuntu mate repository for rapsberry pi 2 ? It was added recently to raspbian …
