Script in home/andy/scripts does not execute

I put a script in home/andy/scripts. A file name README in that directory says scripts in this directory will execute on restore.

The script does not execute when my computer returns from sleeping.

Does restore refer to returning from from sleep mode or something else?

Thanks.

You should sharpen your search talents. Restore is a term used when restoring a file, directory or an entire system from a back-up of some sort. Wake from suspend does not involve restoration. Search on ubuntu: restore and see what you get.

See - https://askubuntu.com/questions/92218/how-to-execute-a-command-after-resume-from-suspend for what I imagine you want to have happen. Generally, sleep=suspend.

Good luck Andy.

Thanks mdooley.

It is still a mystery as to how that directory got created.

Maybe deja-dup created it ?

I have no idea. Myself, I use grsync to back up files and directories as desired, to other machines on my lan. Old habits, good old results, so far.

Edit: Here's another askubuntu link -
