Seagate Central Storage Problems

Me again! I have recently purchased a 3TB Seagate Central Storage Network Drive and am having problems with discovery. It is viewable on my other devices and indeed, was viewable within my network places until a couple days ago where it just disappeared! I can see it through the Avahi Discovery, but cannot connect to it in anyway… Oh and when it DOES show up in my network, I get a 'Failed to retrieve share list from server: Connection refused … ideas on how to fix this would be great!

Cheers

Hi DD,

did you unmount the device from a different device/location correctly (Safely remove device) if you are using it on multiple devices/networks?.

Are you using Samba?.

Hi Wolfman,
The Seagate Central Storage is a dedicated Network Device, the only way to interface it is through ethernet, so that isn't the issue...I am still trying to figure my way around Samba, and because of the set-up I think it is giving me curry....This is what I have...

Hi DD,
