Security issue with Google

Not sure if this is the right place for this report on 17.10.
Yesterday Google informed me that UBUNTU has access to ALL my Google accounts and Google facilities. Is this a temporary ‘hole’ to be fixed?ASAP. Or is it a deliberate, unacceptable breach of my privacy? Google have checked their accounts, what else in 14.10 makes my computer’s data available to Ubuntu? I have screenshots of the Google report but I don’t know how to get them to you if necessary O IS A PROBLEM WITH MY PC?.
ANSWERS are URGENT, please

I'm guessing Google has all this access too. :confounded:

My very limited understanding of it is that it's similar to how most every Android app requires (according to them) certain data contained on the device in order to function, and asks permission upon install. && if we choose to use such services, a certain degree of trust is inevitable.

Similarly, when I sign in to GMail on Evolution I'm presented with a pop-up asking me to allow Evolution access to all of the above.

Google has access to everything…lol… Only real way to stop them is to quit them, which is exceptionally difficult.

I've had reports from Google on my accounts these days, I guess they're doing a general reminder campaign for people to check their accounts (maybe they just figured that their own store is filled with crappy Android apps because anyone can publish anything with no control). Anyway, this doesn't mean that your account has been compromised or isn't secure: the warning is there because at one point you setup a Google account in Ubuntu (Unity or GNOME).

It's just a generic warning to say "we don"t know these apps, if you don't either or don't trust their creators, you should take a closer look."
If you don't need them, you can click on remove access. But in any case, I doubt that Canonical or the GNOME team will suddenly make fancy stuff to target people's Google accounts.

You can also use Chromium Browser which takes out a lot of the Google spyware!.

That I like. Thank you.
