Until Ubuntu MATE 17.10 I could create a keyboard shortcut(like Ctrl+Alt+F) to open caja (by creating a custom keymap for the app “caja”). In 18.04 it does not work anymore, Im not sure why…

I’m not sure what you are trying to do where, but I was easily able to create Super+E to open caja.
In Keyboard Shortcuts, I used ‘Explorer’ and set it to the Key Combo I wanted.
I’m pretty sure you can create a custom one that would just run the caja command as well…

I do believe it’s under the listing of “home folder” now.
