Setting the homepage in Firefox 57

Hi folks, I’ve got a peculiar issue, but very simple. Whenever I try and change the URL of my homepage in Firefox, it resets once I close the browser.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Change the URL of the homepage through the preferences screen.
  3. Close Firefox.
  4. Reopen to find homepage URL reset.

Does this happen to anyone else and/or is there a way to get the homepage URL to save?

@j07 I ran into this issue as well. Edit /usr/lib/firefox/ubuntumate.cfg and replace the default URL with your preferred URL.

Awesome that works for me, although I’m not sure what the solution would be if you only wanted to change it for a single user, or without root access.
