Problems with Network Shared Folders

Today I started a tried again. I filled in the command "server min protocol = NT1" an start reboots on both systems and now it worked.

Cheers

Hi, I've have a fresh installed Ubuntu 20.04.01 on my desktop and laptop. I installed Caja Share from the Software Boutique and want tried to share the public folder from /home path. But I can not browse the network. Firewall is off. I get the following error. Bildschirmfoto zu 2020-10-09 18-36-03
( Translation: The location cannot be attached. Receiving the release list from the server failed. The argument is not valid.)

I tried out a couple of helps from the internet but no one worked, always same error.

Both installation are again fresh with Caja Share installed, so it would be nice, if someone could help from scratch.

Cheers

No replies? Same error here. Seems to be a challenge with every upgrade.

The following helped me:
Under /etc/samba/smb.conf I filled in the command "server min protocol = NT1" an start reboots on both systems and it worked.

I ended up adding the following WORKGROUP entry

client min protocol = NT1
server min protocol = NT1
