I've been testing releases with VirtualBox 5.2 and something changed with 19.10 and now 20.04 Pre-Release is the same.
I set up like below and expect updates to download every time I boot up the VM, which may not be often. But neither 19.10 or 20.04 does this like older releases did for years. It doesn't check for updates on boot and the only way to update is manually.
Does anyone know if the paradigm changed to not check for updates except after hours or something? That could explain this in a VM that doesn't run much.
Thoughts? All comments welcome.
