Steam store or community folders suddenly won't show up

Using Mate 16.04 on my laptop (Toshiba L650D-10H) now for a while. Only problem happened was pop-up error message after starting Steam client. Anyhow anything worked quite properly.

Starting Steam client today and suddenly I can no longer access content of shop, activity, profile or any other folder (store or community pages) except library or downloads, which are working properly. Only thing I see is black window while busy callsign is showing up in right upper corner of steam client.

Internet access is tested. Client also updating games. Even games are running. Also Steam client has updated, but I could not see any content on mentioned Steam client folders.

Tested to work properly on my other computer using mate. Steam client on Win7 machine has access to mentioned folders the same time and internet connection.

Any hint or suggestion?

Hi @Kepos,

I don’t use it myself but you can look here:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valve

thx @wolfman, trying to find a solution there, but mostly it’s related toward installation issues.
As far I noticed, the Steam client doesn’t process personal login for that sites. On Win7 or other Mate machine, I could see that Steam client is logging me on store or community sites on that folder. On my laptop I only see busy callsign.

Are you sure that your username and password are put in correctly?.

Come on, I am allready logged in with Steam client.
Seems it doesn’t handle access to clients own sites.

Just asking!. :frowning:

Hm…just wondering why?

If you’ve read my #1 post

it should be pretty obvious that I am logged in correctly.

Anyhow no offence, I do not want to start a discussion about, just wanted to make things clear so anybody could follow.
