Hi!
I have a suggestion. It would be nice to have one unified place to keep and work on all the translations specific to Ubuntu MATE, like for mate-welcome, mate-tweak, ubiquity slideshow etc. Now they are located in different places (Launchpad, Transifex) and some of them outdated. I suggest to create a project in Transifex separated from MATE Desktop, which synchronizes with Bitbucket repos like in MATE on Github.
More localizations - more OS users:)
It can’t be done
I use Transifex for everything I can (MATE Tweak and MATE Menu are in Transifex and sync with BitBucket) but Ubiquity is integrated in Launchpad and therefore the translation effort for it has to reside there.
what about Ubuntu MATE Welcome ?
I’ll open up translations access once the content is more established, right now it is churning.
Ok. Let the slideshow be on Launchpad and other stuff on Transifex. It’s ok too. But there are still missing and outdated translations. mate-welcome is missing, slideshow and mate-tweak are outdated, maybe more. I mean, for example, I open mate-tweak in 15.10 daily build and see “Use less resources” chekbox. Then I open mate-tweak on transifex and don’t see this line.
@Wimpy,
Any plans for translating the “Desktop User Guide” help pages?
BTW, can you please ask whoever is in charge of sycing strings with Transifex to do it a little bit more often
Hope this is not off-topic, but does someone know where I can find these setting names from “Control center”
Additional Drivers
Bluetooth Adapters
Bluetooth Manager
Displays
Users and Groups
Firewall Configuration
Language support
Some others…
These cannot be found on Transifex
Where do they come from?
