Theme design overview and guide?

Hi, I’m having trouble finding guides and documentation for how to make my own gtk3 theme.

I’ve looked at a few examples but can find no documents that …

  1. Define the naming convention and directory structure of the various “.css” files.

  2. Give an outline of the theme design process.

  3. List software tools that can be used in theme design … syntax autocompletion ? A GUI for theme design ? What tool is it that lays out all the UI elements ?

Any help appreciated !
