Theme installer won’t launch when selected in Preferences.
Please paste the following command in terminal and post the output.
mate-appearance-propertiesYou get Appearance Preferences which I already have in place. The Theme Installer lets you change the look and color of the drop down menu and your internet browser.
They are the same package, just different switches at the end of the command. And your right, it will not open themes, seems to have the wrong switch. @Wimpy may be able to repair this.
