I'm using a Lenovo Ideapad and the newest stable version of Ubuntu Mate. The touchpad works fine with windows 10 but no signs of life on ubuntu. I don't know what to do could someone give me a hand?

Suggestions
(1) use an external mouse
(2) try a non-Ubuntu distro e.g. MX Linux, openSUSE, Fedora just to check if their driver support is better.
