Thanks very much. Is that weekly cron job just for Intel and Samsung SSD? I’m not sure which SSD the latest kernel supports.
In 14.04 it used to be enabled for Intel, SAMSUNG, OCZ, Patriot and Sandisk SSDs only, unless you added the --no-model-check option ( https://askubuntu.com/questions/18903/how-to-enable-trim/19480#19480 ).
In 16.04 that command-line option is no longer recognized and the man-page does not mention anything like it either, so I assume TRIM is executed on every SSD now, regardless of manufacturer.
