the install program of ubtMate1604desktop have promble, at parted display too big, selected button is unvisible, select timezone not see button, too.
my screen is 1024X600.

If that’s not a typo on your part it looks like your monitor doesn’t fit the minimum hardware requirements for using Ubuntu MATE.

I have reply mail about this promble. last year I try exprience ubtMate1504 ,
its install program no this promble. my netbook monitor is LCD , resolution
fixed 1024X600. after install , display will good. now I reply this topic in ubtMate1604, this say, for the bug only install program have bug at this distro.

but you not know my case. in fact ,I have already new install ubtMate1604 success by use harddisk install method. this not from 1504 upgrade to 1604.
though install program have bug, but I yet install sucsess by use lucky method . but this method not normal.
I report this in order to hope devoleper fix this bug in next distro. not for 1604. I have go round this bug lucky.

There are many bugs in Ubuntu 16.04 so you are indeed lucky to get it installed!.
