Hello everyone! Anyone here experienced installing Ubuntu Mate 14.04 in Raspberry Pi 3? Does it fully support RPI3’s wifi device?
Why such an old version?
The later versions work well with WiFi (for me)

We’ll the project Im working on works well with Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04. I think (I still need to verify this tho) that I’ll not work with Ubuntu 16.04.
OK then, well good luck -
I had the Pi3s after I had moved to 15.04, so have no idea what the performance on wifi was like previous versions.

Thanks Derek. I saw some promising threads and documentation about installing Ubuntu 14.04 ( and making it work ) in RPi3. I’ll post the results of my “experimentation” here
