Hey everyone, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed trying out Ubuntu Mate! I think it’s a fantastic distro that’s very user friendly and the community support looks to be amazing. I watched the video and I've got a few comments:

Subscribe to Welcome Updates to get latest software listing in the Software Boutique, as well as improvements to the Software Boutique's software (Example: search tool was added since the release)

You can use
sudo apt install stuffinstead ofsudo apt-get install stuff -
Reason why git failed to install is because when you typed in the command, the Software Boutique was busy installing Stellarium and therefore it had a lock placed on the apt stuff.
