Hey Guys,

I’m using ubuntu mate 16.04 on my Dell inspiron 13 7359 laptop. Headsets ( I’m using iphone headsets) are not detected. When I plugin it in, sound still comes out of the speakers. Please help.

I’ve found that newer versions of Ubuntu are not automatically switching output devices when a headset is plugged in. :frowning: Either that, or it doesn’t work on some hardware.

Try switching the output device in the Sound settings (Applications --> Sound & Video) under the Output tab.
