Ubuntu Mate 14.04.2 is definately a great distro, hands down a great alternative for standard Ubuntu which gives me woes I tell you woes!
Ubuntu MATE is a nice blast from the past, I started using Ubuntu with 6.06 but in recent years unity has been a mixed bag for me.
On one hand I actually like Unity but on the other the move to MIR in the main edition seems like a insane madmans dream, I have no faith in MIR and I feel it will spill disaster for Ubuntu main.
My computer is not a phone, I have to have uit working and stable and i feel Ubuntu main is totally heading in the wrong direction.
Finally some saner hands are abound here
