Ubuntu mate lost my screen

Hi everybody.

i've bought a new computer for my wife and install ubuntu mate on it.

Sometimes, system lost the screen an it stuck in 1024x768, the only one available definition.

A reboot dont' success and, sometimes, a halt and start yes.

I've only found messages for about 10 years and solutions don't match :(.

Can tou help me ? I beg your pardon for my poor english...

Never got this kind of issues, but you can try those 3 possible solutions :

  • Search inside the menu for "Additional Drivers" and check, if some special drivers need to be installed on this computer.

  • Upgrade the kernel to something much higher than your actual one. You can do it with a software named "mainline"

  • Maybe trying to install some external drivers if your graphical card is "special".

You can also share some info about this computer, maybe someone here got similar issue.

Thansks for your interest in my problem.

kernel is up to date and i have additional driver for graphic card.

Summary of this computer :

Intel i3-9100F
Nvidia Geforce GT 710 128Mb
Ram : 8Gb

Hi everybody.

yesterday I slected nouveau driver... and it seems to be ok !

This machine is note for palyong game so this driver is usefull for this using.
