Ubuntu Mate screensaver question

There are several screensaver options that utilize pictures.
I can’t seem to find out how to get them to utilize my Pictures folder.
Any idea how to resolve this?
Many thanks!

Control Panel > Screensaver ... the left pane has Blank Screen, Random, Cosmos, ... a Pictures folder. Select that, add some pictures to your $HOME/Pictures ... that's it.

That works for the Pictures Folder option, but not for the other screensaver options that use photos. Where would those photos need to be?

look in /usr/share/backgrounds/ ... also read about mate-screensaver package.

1 - Go to /usr/share/applications/screensavers
2 - Make a backup of the file named Pictures folder or whatever it is called in your language in case something goes wrong.
3 - Right click on that file and choose edit as administrator. It will be named personal-slideshow.desktop in your text editor.
4 - Look for line 170.
It defaults to Exec=/usr/lib/mate-screensaver/mate-screensaver/slideshow.
Change it to Exec=/usr/lib/mate-screensaver/mate-screensaver/slideshow --location=/path/to/your/desired/pictures/folder/ (edit this to your desired folder, for instance --location=/home/Linus/Pictures/TuxWallpapers/)
5 - Save the changes. I'm not sure whether a reboot is required or not in order to take the changes into account.
6 - Select Pictures folder as a screensaver.
7 - Enjoy this great distro and have a nice day.
