Understand Ubuntu MATE 15.04 has a version for ARMv7 core.
https://ubuntu-mate.org/raspberry-pi/ which however is NOT designed for ARMv6 found on original Pi.
Found this from Raspberry Pi download site https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/ w/o any note “Only for the Pi 2”
Being new to this toy & having time to try testing strange ideas as I learn something, COULD it possibly run on the Pi B+ v1.2 just quite a bit slower, or will I be completely lost attempting this on unsupported CPU hardware?
Or should I attempt an older 14.04 on Pi B+? Not interested in Snappy Core (I am not a Developer) V/R DaH
ARMv6 and ARMv7 are different CPU architectures so I Ubuntu MATE for Raspberry Pi 2 will not work on the original Pi models.
