UM is truly amazing and is a contender for Windows. What a difference a few years make.
I would like to personally mention Mixxx a dj mixing program. My favorite feature is the automatic dj. Just pull the songs into it and the auto dj will fade the songs in one after another …Many many more features…too many to list here. Mixxx
Yes, that’s 3 xxx at the end of Mixxx.
Indeed it is. The best commendation that I can give to UM is that as a life long Windows user I’ve installed it and barely skipped a beat. There have been some minor adjustments and a few tweaks here and there. But there’s been nothing that I couldn’t either figure out for myself or get help from the community (mostly here) to fix. I think that I’ve had an easier transition to UM than I did transitioning from Windows XP to Windows Vista. I’ve enjoyed figuring out whatever small challenges I’ve encountered and am reaping the benefits of a system that just seems to work better overall.
I like the freedom of not being tethered to a Windows machine. It feels a bit like cord cutting. I’ve actually installed Windows 7 in a VM for a few minor things that I haven’t been able to do in UM. However, it’s not anything major, and it hasn’t played a significant role in my day to day use of my machine. I’m using UM 99.99% of the time.
