Unable to mount (disk name) No object for D-Bus interface

A 480gb SSD, reformatted with Disk from OS to data, owner changed from root to ray-m (me), disk in use for torrent use, use Disk to mount it. Tried many fixes, all worked temporily. How can I fix mounting from 'Places.

I use Arios Automount. It automounts all connected hard drives, internal or external, at bootup without having to touch fstab or any other utility such as “disks”. You can get it here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/arios/files/repo/arios-automount-1.0_all.deb/download

Once you have downloaded and installed it, all of your connected drives will appear in your places menu when you log in.

Many thanks. Arios Automount is working.

Interesting anomily with Clonezilla. (version latest 2 months back) and Arios Automount.
When I use Clonezilla to BU my OS SSD, the first reboot after that Automount does not appear to be effective, the old …D_BUS … with my 480 SSA comes up.
HOWEVER shutting down and rebooting fixes Automount and everything works again.

@stevecook172001 Does this automount utility work in UM 16.04? I use it in UM 14.04 and it’s great but I remember you writing that it doesn’t work in UM 16.04.

Well remembered…

It didn’t work in 16.04. However, I have just reinstalled UM 16.04 from a fresh ISO and it is working now. No idea why. Same goes for my preferred version of Caffeine.

https://launchpad.net/~behda/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+files/caffeine_2.5.1+546~behda~ubuntu13.10.1_all.deb

So, Mr Cook is a happy bunny at present.

If you or anyone else chooses to use the version of Caffeine, listed above, it needs to be locked at this version with:

sudo apt-mark hold caffeine
