Every time there is an update called microcode my computer becomes unpredictable.
[? hardware.] Yesterday one of the microcode updates came through and an error message came up at startup this morning 'system error, Do you want to report it' I did.
Please help.

Can you please list this directory ?
ls -lt /var/crash/
If there are files inside, this message pops up.
If the files are not recent, you can remove them.
You can remove all the files in this folder with this Terminal command:
sudo rm /var/crash/*
